Thu, April 1, 2004 - 9:52 PMI have some good friends in colorado that are from Prince of Wales Island. I think they are getting married this summer up there actually.
I have always wanted to hit southeast, but damned if I can't drive there! and the ferry was too expensive for me and my car... I hear you got some wicked trees down there though. someday... -

Mon, April 5, 2004 - 10:37 AMTake your bike...You don't really need a car when travelling through southeast alaska's small towns.
:)
either that or hitch rides through the towns...usually there is always someone to pick you up. -

Re: Southeast Alaska
Sat, April 10, 2004 - 12:22 AMI'm from Petersburg and your right, you can get a ride anywhere you can't walk. Just make sure you go up in May through September and bring a rain coat 'cause it rains ALOT, Noah.
January, Randy was thinking of the other side of kupernof which doesn't have roads or much of anything but a cool river to party on. Did you use to make the weekly shopping trips into petersburg? -

Re: Southeast Alaska
Mon, April 19, 2004 - 10:15 AMNo weekly trips to petersburg. We ate by subsistence and Kake has a small store for other things. Also, we had stuff shipped to us on the barge one and a while. And, yeah, I knew he was talking about the other side of the island :)
